To achieve our objective to promote the conservation and enhancement of Berkshire biodiversity we will:

  • Take a strategic view of the challenges and opportunities involved and identify ways to manage the natural environment as a system for the benefit of nature, people and the economy.

  • Become local champions influencing decision-making relating to the natural environment and its value to social and economic outcomes, in particular, through working closely with local authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and Health and Well-being Boards.

  • Contribute to achieving the Government's national environmental objectives locally, by providing the advice and expertise required for the identification of local ecological networks, alongside addressing local priorities.

  • Work with other organisations and Partnerships to improve awareness of the issues surrounding nature conservation and the value of the natural environment.
